LONGVIEW -- The No. 16 Bullard Lady Panthers rebounded from their first District 16-4A loss with a 63-42 rout of Spring Hill on Friday night.

Hannah Lloyd and Laura Zachry each knocked down four 3-pointers and finished with 17 and 16 points, respectively, for Bullard (20-5, 2-1).

Lexi Kirgan added 14 points, while Kristen Chamberlain chipped in with 11 points.

Kayla Crowe led Spring Hill in the loss with nine points. Ann Hollas, Julie Hodges, and A'Kia Larke added eight points apiece.

Each team continues its season Tuesday. Bullard plays host to Chapel Hill, while Spring Hill faces Kilgore at home.

 

No. 8 Alba-Golden Overpowers Winona

WINONA -- The eighth-ranked Alba-Golden Lady Panthers cruised to a 78-34 win over Winona in District 14-3A action Friday.

Winona (13-5, 4-2) was led in defeat by Randaysha Hanson, who finished with 16 points, five rebounds, and five steals. Makayla Champion added six points, five boards, and five steals.

Both teams are back in action Tuesday. Winona hosts Grand Saline, while Alba-Golden (18-7, 6-0) plays at Mineola.

 

Joaquin Too Much For Beckville

BECKVILLE -- The Joaquin Lady Rams rolled to a 45-26 win over Beckville in District 22-2A action Friday.

Destiny Cooper led Joaquin with 13 points.

Beckville was paced by Madi Mize's nine points. Jordan Tondreau added six points and three rebounds, while Ashley Cook had five points, eight rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

Harmony Picks Up First District Win

HARMONY -- The Harmony Eagles captured their first District 14-3A with a 64-40 rout of Grand Saline on Friday.

Bentley Miner led Harmony (10-9, 1-4) with 18 points, while Jacob Kimmen added 12 points.

Jordan Smith paced Grand Saline in the losing cause with 15 points.

 

Waskom Outlasts Jefferson

JEFFERSON -- The Waskom Wildcats captured a 60-56 win over Jefferson on Friday night in the District 17-3A opener for both teams.

Kaleb Haynes led the way for Waskom (6-5, 1-0) with 29 points, while KT Caesar added 10 points. Eric Stephens III and Keileon Johnson chipped in with nine points apiece.

Jefferson dropped to 16-6 overall and 0-1 in league play with the loss.

 

No. 6 Tenaha Rolls Past Shelbyville

TENAHA -- The sixth-ranked Tenaha Tigers cruised to a 106-70 win over Shelbyville on Friday in District 22-2A action.

Colton Goeke and Ja'Qualin Franks combined to match Shelbyville's scoring output by themselves. Goeke scored 39 points, which included nine 3-pointers, while Franks drained seven 3's and finsihed with 31 points.

Tenaha improved to 12-7 on the season.

 

No. 8 San Augustine Rolls to Victory

SAN AUGUSTINE -- The eighth-ranked San Augustine Wolves cruised to a 62-35 win over Broaddus in District 23-2A action Friday night.

Ced Thomas and Chris Rodgers led the way for San Augustine (15-3) with 13 points apiece. Zavonte Garrett added 10 points in the win.

San Augustine's season resumes Tuesday at Lufkin Pineywoods Academy.
