KAUFMAN -- The Marshall Mavericks collected a pair of wins Friday at the Kaufman Holiday Classic.

Marshall (18-2) cruised to a 90-41 win over Kaufman, and later defeated Forney by the score of 60-42.

Tiandre Jackson-Young scored 17 points to lead in the way in the win over Kaufman. TJ Maxfield also scored 17 points, Shimar Jones added 14 points and Chris Brown dished out 11 assists.

Jackson-Young had 14 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks in Marshall's defeat of Forney. Jay McKnight and Maxfield had 11 points apiece, while Brown finished with nine assists in the win.

Kilgore Wins Twice in Paris

PARIS -- The Kilgore Bulldogs remained perfect at the Paris Tournament with a couple of wins on Friday.

Kilgore (8-6) took a 68-49 win over Dallas Gateway, then defeated Liberty-Eylau 60-47 in the first round of bracket play.

Trey Conrod led Kilgore against Gateway with 20 points, nine rebounds, four assists and four steals. Nick Orange added 12 points and four boards, Stefun Tatum had 10 points, three rebounds and two steals and Clayton Mauldin finished with 10 points and three rebounds.

In the win over Liberty-Eylau, Conrod came up big with 35 points, 14 rebounds, four steals and two assists. Clery Delmas added seven points and three boards, while Xaviar Gaona chipped in with three points, 10 rebounds, five assists and two steals.

No. 19 Canton Goes 1-1 At Kaufman Tournament

KAUFMAN -- The 19th-ranked Canton Eaglettes split a pair of games Friday at the Kaufman Holiday Classic.

Canton defeated Class 5A-South Garland 55-33, but was on the losing end of a 43-27 score to Sunnyvale.

Madison McCaffity led Canton (13-5) with 14 points in the win over South Garland. Destiny Dollgener added 11 points, while Kassidy Wilkerson and Lilly Nelson finished with eight points apiece.

Wilkerson had nine points to lead Canton in its loss to Sunnyvale.
