LONGVIEW -- The Pine Tree Lady Pirates defeated crosstown foe Longview 53-34 Friday night at the Pirate Center.

Kabreisha Orange led Pine Tree (2-1) with 24 points, while Sky Holmes added 15.

Raven Chism scored 18 points to lead Longview.

Pine Tree returns to action Tuesday at Whitehouse, while Longview is at Hallsville on Tuesday.

No. 6 Bullard Wins Twice At Miller Grove Tournament

MILLER GROVE -- The sixth-ranked Bullard Lady Panthers rolled to a pair of victories Friday at the Miller Grove Tournament.

Bullard improved to 6-0 on the year victories over Celeste (69-31) and Lone Oak (60-31).

In the win over Celeste, Bullard connected on 12 3-pointers, 10 of which came in the first half. Maddy Slayter led the Lady Panthers with 16 points. Nikki Johnson added 12, while Lexi Kirgan and Lexi Abercrombie had 10 points apeice.

Abercrombie dropped 27 points to lead Bullard over Lone Oak. Slayter had 11 points, while Bridgette Taylor finished with 10.

Mineola Takes Down Grand Saline

MINEOLA -- The Mineola Lady Jackets scored a 57-45 win over Grand Saline on Friday night.

Jordan Dawson led Mineola (2-1) with 15 points, while Kelsey Green nailed three 3-pointers and finished with 14 points.

Mineola's season resumes Tuesday at home against Lone Oak, while Grand Saline faces Union Grove on Tuesday.

No. 2 Martin's Mill Eases Past Cushing

MARTIN'S MILL -- The second-ranked Martin's Mill Lady Mustangs rolled to a 60-29 victory over Cushing on Friday.

Cheyenne Brown led the Lady Mustangs (2-1) with 19 points. Hailey Hawes added 10 points, Hailey Celsur had nine points all on 3-pointers and Cassidy McCoy had nine points and hit two 3's.

Martin's Mill hosts Winnsboro on Tuesday, while Cushing hosts Groveton the same night.

Mineola Blows By Palestine Westwood

MINEOLA -- The Mineola Yellow Jackets opened up the season with a 86-70 victory over Palestine Westwood on Friday.

Garrett McCalla led the 'Jackets (1-0) with 28 points. Lincoln Fischer added 23 points, while James Dean and Raphael Ogueri finished with 15 and 12 points, respectively.

Lufkin Pineywoods Goes to 2-0

LUFKIN -- Lufkin Pineywoods Academy scored a 40-33 victory over Onalaska's JV on Friday night.

Luke Collins led the way for Pineywoods (2-0) with 17 points. Evan Sanders added eight points, while Jalil Jones finished with seven.

Pineywoods hosts Nacogdoches Home School on Monday.
