SAN AUGUSTINE -- The 10th-ranked San Augustine Wolves overcame a 14-point, fourth-quarter deficit to stun No. 7 Tenaha 64-61 on Friday in a showdown between Class A Division I powers.

San Augustine (11-5) outscored Tenaha 22-5 in the fourth quarter to complete the comeback win.

Jarvis Smith led the Wolves with 25 points. Dez Randle added 13 points, while Jeremy Jenkins finished with 10.

Both San Augustine and Tenaha take part in the Tenaha Tournament next weekend, Dec. 26-28.

Cayuga No Match For No. 23 Athens

ATHENS -- The 23rd-ranked Athens Hornets rolled to an easy 80-44 victory over Cayuga on Friday.

Anthony Sanders paced Athens (12-1) with 21 points. Ryan Jefferson finished with 18 points, six rebounds and six steals, while Josh Garrett added 15 points and 11 boards.

Chris Wilson sparked Cayuga with 12 points, while John Venable chipped in with 11 in the losing effort.

Athens returns to action next weekend at the Wagstaff Holiday Classic in Tyler on Dec. 26-28, while Cayuga participates in the Tenaha Tournament the same weekend.

Center Knocks Off Diboll

CENTER -- The Center Roughriders moved to 2-0 in District 20-3A play with a 60-49 win over Diboll on Friday.

Octavious Evans led Center (5-3 overall) with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Dajalen Preston also scored 14 points, while CJ Garner added 10 points and eight boards in the win.

Ja'Marcus Polk and Sammy Scott had nine points apiece for Diboll (8-2, 0-1).

Center's season resumes next weekend at the Longview Tournament on Dec. 26-28, while Diboll takes part in the Rusk Tournament the same weekend.

Arp Takes Down Harmony

ARP -- The Arp Tigers improved to 2-0 in District 18-2A with a 59-38 victory over Harmony on Friday.

Tyrone Hunt led the way for Arp with 15 points. Mykel Frost finished with 12 points, while Justin Johnson chipped in with 10 in the win.

Austin Spurlock scored 18 points, which included four 3-pointers, to pace Harmony (2-9, 0-2). Levi Thompson added four points and seven rebounds in the losing effort.

Harmony's season continues next Friday at Como-Pickton.

GIRLS

Chapel Hill Remains Perfect in 16-3A

NEW CHAPEL HILL -- The Chapel Hill Lady Bulldogs remained unbeaten in District 16-3A with a 54-46 defeat of Gilmer on Friday.

Shay Ross led Chapel Hill (13-5, 3-0) with 14 points. Kadeja Warfield and Gabby Brooks added 11 points apiece.

Gilmer (1-3 in 16-3A) was led by Jameekia Homer's 14 points. Belynda Ray added 12 points in the loss.

Chapel HIll takes part in the Rusk Tournament next weekend on Dec. 26-28, while Gilmer faces Harmony next Friday.
