JACKSONVILLE -- The Whitehouse Wildcats rallied for a 71-67 overtime win over Jacksonville on Friday night in battle between first-place teams in District 16-4A.

Patrick Mahomes, who finished with a game-high 25 points and 15 rebounds, missed a 3-pointer at the end of regulation which sent the game into overtime where the Wildcats (20-5, 4-1) outscored Jacksonville (18-8, 3-2), 14-10.

Jake Parker added 13 points and 15 rebounds in the win.

Whitehouse kept place with John Tyler (12-8, 4-1), which earned a 55-50 win at Lindale on Friday. The Wildcats currently hold the tiebreaker over JT by virtue of their 68-60 victory with one more round of district play remaining.

Raybon Riden led Jacksonville with 20 points, which included four 3-pointers. Daytron Thompson and Datavion Thacker added 13 points apiece for the Indians, who led 30-29 at halftime and 46-40 after three quarters.

Whitehouse's season continues Tuesday at home against Corsicana, which dealt the Wildcats an OT loss in the district opener on Jan. 10. Jacksonville, meanwhile, hosts Lindale on Tuesday.

No. 12 Athens Blows Past Van

ATHENS -- The 12th-ranked Athens Hornets continued to roll with a dominating 74-44 win over Van on Friday night in District 15-3A action.

Athens (22-1, 5-0) was led by Anthony Sanders, who finished with 29 points and seven assists. Courtland Lyons added 15 points, Kynden Crist had 11 points and eight rebounds and Ryan Jefferson finished with seven points, eight boards, six steals and six assists.

Nick Wilkerson led Van (13-12, 2-3) with 14 points, while Carson Rucker finished with 12 in the losing effort.

Athens returns to action Tuesday at Mabank, while Van hosts Brownsboro also on Tuesday.

Robbie Rockwell Ignites No. 5 Tatum's Rout

UNION GROVE -- Behind the hot shooting of senior guard Robbie Rockwell, the fifth-ranked Tatum Eagles rolled to an 89-42 win over Union Grove on Friday in District 17-2A action.

Rockwell knocked down eight 3-pointers -- six in the first half -- and finished with 30 points to go with five steals. Chaston Brooks added 12 points, six rebounds, five steals and three assists, while Jahee Johnson had 10 points, four boards and two steals.

Jakob Lee added nine points and three rebounds, Klifton Willis had eight points, four boards, four assists and two steals and Casey Carr dished out seven assists to go with three rebounds and two steals in the winning effort.

Garrett Gibson led Union Grove (4-4 in district) with 12 points, while Hunter Gray finished with nine.

Tatum hosts Waskom, while Union Grove is at Jefferson on Tuesday.

Arp Too Much For Harmony

HARMONY -- The Arp Tigers cruised to a 75-54 defeat of Harmony in District 18-2A action Friday night.

Justin Johnson led Arp (5-4 in district) with 17 points. Tommy Reese added 13 points, while Kasper Holland finished with 11 in the win.

Harmony (3-16, 1-8) was led in defeat by Austin Spurlock, who finished with 30 points, which included five 3-pointers. Levi Thompson added four points and a team-high 16 rebounds.

Arp hosts rival Troup, while Harmony is at Frankston on Tuesday.

Hot Shooting Lifts No. 6 Martin's Mill

PRICE -- The sixth-ranked Martin's Mill Mustangs knocked down 12 3-pointers in an 83-27 rout of Carlisle on Friday night in District 17-A Division I action.

Davis Moore led the way for Martin's Mill (21-5, 8-0) with 22 points, which includes six field goals from beyond the arc. Colton Wilson drilled three 3-pointers and finished with 11 points, while Hunter Conway added 18 points in the easy win.

Spencer Hines, July Latimer and Logan Jenkins had one 3-pointer apiece for Martin's Mill.

Martin's Mill continues its season Tuesday at home against No. 11 LaPoynor. Carlisle plays at Beckville on Tuesday.

No. 8 San Augustine Rolls to Win

SAN AUGUSTINE -- The eighth-ranked San Augustine Wolves cruised to a 71-41 win over Broaddus on Friday in District 23-A Division I action.

Jarvis Smith led San Augustine (20-8, 4-1) with 23 points. Jaylon Taylor added 17 points in the win.

Bullard Knocks Off No. 22 Kilgore

BULLARD -- The Bullard Lady Panthers handed No. 22 Kilgore its first District 16-3A loss with a 49-44 win Friday.

Bullard (21-6, 6-2) was led by Bridgette Taylor, who finished with 19 points. Brittany Hinton added 12 points, while Lexi Kirgan had 10 in the winning effort.

Tony Burks led Kilgore (19-8, 8-1) with 18 points.

Bullard is at Gladewater on Tuesday, while Kilgore continues its season next Friday at home against Gladewater.

Chapel Hill Gets Past Gilmer

GILMER -- The Chapel Hill Lady Bulldogs defeated Gilmer 53-40 on Friday night in District 16-3A action.

Kadeja Warfield led Chapel Hill (21-10, 7-2) with 14 points, which included four 3-pointers. Kyla Moore hit three 3-pointers and finished with 11 points in the winning effort.

Gilmer (3-7 in district) was paced by Destiny Brooks' 17 points, while Jameekia Homer added 12 points.

Chapel Hill plays host to Spring Hill, while Gilmer is at Henderson on Tuesday.

No. 13 Canton Takes Down Mabank

CANTON -- The 13th-ranked Canton Eaglettes grinded out a 36-19 win over Mabank on Friday in District 15-3A competition.

Kassidy Wilkerson paced Canton (21-6, 6-1) with nine points and three steals. Lilly Nelson added eight points, while Holly Raitz chipped in with seven in the victory.

Mabank (8-17, 1-6) was led by Carson Marsh, who finished with a game-high 12 points.

Canton is back in action Tuesday at Mineola.

Pleasant Grove Takes Down North Lamar

TEXARKANA -- The Pleasant Grove Lady Hawks remained unbeaten in District 13-3A with a 52-37 win over Paris North Lamar on Friday.

Hayley Harp led Pleasant Grove (22-4, 7-0) with 19 points. Brette Wacha added 16 points and 13 rebounds, and Renee Walker finished with 13 points in the win.

North Lamar (10-15, 1-6) was paced by Kylie Halstead's 13 points. Lexie Chancellor added 10 points in the losing effort.

Top-Ranked Martin's Mill Rolls

PRICE -- The No. 1 Martin's Mill Lady Mustangs cruised to a 59-17 rout of Carlisle on Friday in District 17-A Division I action.

Cheyenne Brown led the way for Martin's Mill (26-2, 9-0) with 25 points, while Cassidy McCoy made three 3-pointers and finished with 10 points in the win. Alyssa Pate added seven points, while Hailey Celsur and Bailey Caldwell had six points apiece.

Martin's Mill's season continues Tuesday night at home against No. 24 LaPoynor, while Carlisle plays at Beckville also on Tuesday.

Cushing Edges Mount Enterprise

MOUNT ENTERPRISE -- The Cushing Galkats earned a narrow 40-38 win over Mount Enterprise in District 21-A Division I action on Friday.

McKenzie Tucker led Cushing (23-4, 6-1) with 22 points. Sammy Jo Brashears added 10 points, while Kayla Moore finished with eight in the winning effort.

Cushing returns to the court Tuesday at New Summerfield, while Mount Enterprise is at Neches also on Tuesday.
