Friday Basketball: Whitehouse Continues Winning Ways + More

LINDALE -- The Whitehouse Wildcats remained perfect in District 17-5A with a 40-34 win over Lindale on Friday night.

Jackson Mahomes led Whitehouse (22-6, 7-0) on the evening with 13 points.

Whitehouse returns to action Tuesday at Corsicana. Lindale is at Nacogdoches.

ELKHART -- The Slocum Mustangs took a 63-56 victory over Avalon in District 27-A action Friday night.

Taylor Hunt led the way for Slocum (16-13, 2-5) with 27 points, while Jacob Lane added 20 points.

Slocum plays at Laneville on Tuesday.
