POLLOK -- It only took Pollok Central four innings to scratch out a District 22-3A win against Corrigan-Camden.

The Lady Dogs won 15-0.

Katelyn Boles earned the win for Pollok Central and came close to recording an abridged perfect game. She recorded 11 strikeouts and allowed one hit.

Boles also doubled three times from the plate and knocked in three runs.

Shelby East led the Lady Dogs with a home run, two base hits, two RBIs, two stolen bases and three runs scored. Brittany Caswell batted 3-for-4 with a homer and four RBIs in the game.

Pollok Central will visit Hemphill on Tuesday.

 

Elkhart Moves To 16-1

CROCKETT -- Lady Elk's pitcher Preslye Cox struck out 12 Crockett batters and allowed just two hits in a 15-0 win Friday.

Amber Mills recorded a team-best three RBIs for Elkhart.

Kaitlin Hall, Robin Grant and Cox added two RBIs apiece in the victory.

Elkhart (6-0 in District 21-3A) will wrap up the first round of league play Tuesday by hosting Trinity at 6 p.m.

 

Carthage Shuts Out Center

CARTHAGE -- The Carthage Lady Dogs got another great night from starting pitcher Samantha Clakley in the circle and topped Center, 4-0, in a District 19-4A contest.

Clakley struck out 14 batters while allowing two hits and a walk in the complete game victory. She also picked up an RBI at the plate.

Hope Kruebbe led Carthage offensively with a 2-for-3 game and one RBI.

The Lady Dogs will travel to Rusk for a game Tuesday.

 

Bullard Edges Spring Hill

BULLARD -- The Lady Panthers topped Spring Hill, 5-4, in District 16-4A play.

Baylee Taylor led Bullard with two doubles and two RBIs. Rebeka Newburn also recorded two RBIs in the game.

Kyndel Clayton earned the win.
