Friday Volleyball: Carlisle + Leverett’s Chapel Take District Wins

PRICE -- The Carlisle Lady Indians rolled to a 26-24, 25-17, 25-20 sweep of Timpson in District 20-2A action Friday night.

Carlisle (17-12, 2-1) was led by Hayley Jordan, who finished with 13 kills. Heather Craig added five kills, four aces, and 10 digs, while Cheyenne Vannier had 22 assists and six digs.

The season resumes Tuesday for Carlisle, which plays host to Shelbyville.

Leverett's Chapel Knocks Off Gary

LAIRD HILL -- Leverett's Chapel took down Gary, 15-25, 26-24, 25-23, 25-18, Friday in District 20-2A competition.

Kristina Bell led Gary in the loss with 16 kills, six blocks, four aces, and five digs, while Leann Youngblood added 16 kills, two blocks, three aces, and 12 digs.

Madie Davis had four kills and two blocks, while Taylor Rodgers registered 27 assists to go with a pair of kills.

Emory Rains Tops Bullard

BULLARD -- The Emory Rains Ladycats earned a 25-16, 25-13, 17-25, 25-18 win over Bullard on Tuesday.

Charlotte Bradshaw carried Rains (23-7) with 24 kills and four aces. Taylor Pruitt added 10 kills, Shelbi Sheppard finished with 35 assists, McKenna Hildebrant and Delaney Hill had five blocks apiece, while Kenna Kellam chipped in with 23 digs.

Rains begins District 13-4A play at home against Brownsboro on Tuesday.
