Friday Volleyball: Carthage Sweeps Mineola, Beckville Knocks Off Troup + More

MINEOLA -- The Carthage Lady Dogs rebounded from Tuesday's tri-match sweep by taking care of Mineola 25-15, 25-19, 25-23 in non-district volleyball action Friday.

Tennessee commit Iesha Bryant led the way 12 kills. Allie Capps added five kills, Amber Chaffin dished out 24 assists, while Morgan Wedgeworth and Kelsey Shapre combined for 39 digs.

Carthage (19-7) completed play at the Brownsboro Tournament on Saturday will play at Henderson on Tuesday. Mineola, meanwhile, hosts Wills Point on Tuesday.

Beckville Score Road Win At Troup

TROUP -- Beckville defeated Troup 26-24, 19-25, 25-17, 29-27 on Friday.

Ivy Rieke, Carson Blair and Taylor Lindsay all had huge performances. Rieke had 14 kills, one block, 14 digs and two aces, Blair had 14 kills, 14 digs and two aces and Lindsay added 13 kills and 25 digs.

Carley Lawhorn chipped in with six kills, one block and two assists, while Kassidy Alexander provided 35 assists to go with 12 digs and a block.

Beckville (13-4) hosts Hawkins on Tuesday. Troup finished up play at the White Oak Tournament on Saturday and will host Leverett's Chapel on Tuesday.

Gladewater Tops Pittsburg

PITTSBURG -- The Gladewater Lady Bears defeated Pittsburg 25-14, 26-24, 10-25, 25-18 on Friday.

Gadewater resumed play in the Sabine Tournament on Saturday and will host Tatum on Tuesday. Pittsburg plays at Brownsboro on Tuesday.

Eustace Moves to 2-0 in District

KEMP -- The Eustace Lady Bulldogs had no trouble with Kemp, scoring a 25-14, 25-8, 25-21 victory in District 13-2A action Friday.

Eustace's season continues at Dallas Hampton Prep on Tuesday.

Bogata Rivercrest Downs Sulphur Bluff

SULPHUR BLUFF -- Bogata Rivercrest swept Sulphur Bluff 25-17, 26-28, 26-24, 25-15 on Friday.
