Friday Volleyball: Lindale Sweeps Pine Tree, Whitehouse Cruises Past Rusk + More

LONGVIEW -- The Lindale Lady Eagles rolled to a 25-13, 25-20, 25-17 sweep of Pine Tree in non-district volleyball action on Friday.

Zhanelle Geathers led Lindale (23-3) with 12 kills and four blocks. Makenna Allen added 10 kills, five digs and two aces, Rhyan Rand had six kills and five digs, Travicia Acy had four kills and four blocks and Sydney Tiiman dished out 31 assists to go with two kills.

The Lady Eagles play at Van, while Pine Tree hosts Whitehouse on Tuesday.

Whitehouse Sweeps Past Rusk

RUSK -- The Whitehouse LadyCats picked up a 25-8, 25-21, 25-18 sweep of Rusk on Friday.

Whitehouse (12-9) was led by Ashton Ates' 12 kills, four blocks and two aces. Kaitlyn Anderson chipped in with nine kills, Kelly Keller added seven, Ronnie Fountain provided 35 assists and Amanda Dimon racked up 19 digs.

Whitehouse plays at Pine Tree on Tuesday.

Gilmer Downs Kilgore in 16-3A Opener

GILMER -- The Gilmer Lady Buckeyes began District 16-3A play with a 25-16, 24-26, 25-19, 25-8 victory over Kilgore on Friday.

Kilgore was led in defeat by Tony Burks' 11 kills and two blocks. Annie Mehringer added six kills, 20 digs and three aces, Nichole Flores had 17 digs and Adreyanna Barnes finished with 21 assists and 14 digs.

Gilmer plays at Henderson, while Kilgore hosts Hallsville on Tuesday.

No. 8 White Oak Takes Down New Diana

WHITE OAK -- The eighth-ranked White Oak Ladynecks began District 17-2A with a 20-25, 25-17, 25-22, 25-18 victory over New Diana on Friday.

Taylor Tramel led White Oak (18-8, 1-0) with 11 kills, 20 digs and two aces. Madison Pecot added nine kills, five digs and four aces, Rebecca Green had nine kills, five digs and two aces, Cayman Sutton dished out 23 assists to go with four digs and two aces and Kailee Simmons finished with 10 assists, 12 digs and three aces.

The Ladynecks play at Tatum, while New Diana hosts Waskom on Tuesday.

Sabine Opens District With Sweep of West Rusk

LIBERTY CITY -- The Sabine Lady Cardinals rolled to a 25-9, 25-17, 25-17 sweep of West Rusk on Friday in the District 18-2A opener for both teams.

Haley Stuart led Sabine (19-6, 1-0) with 10 kills, one block and four digs. Tylia Sylestine contributed three kills, 15 digs and six aces, Brittany Terry added six kills, one block and two digs, while Emily Ivins and Jayden Mount combined for 18 assists, four kills, 11 digs and three aces.

The Lady Cardinals play at Harmony on Tuesday.

Eustace Rolls Past Dallas Faith Family

EUSTACE -- The Eustace Lady Bulldogs cruised to a 25-1, 25-4, 25-6 sweep of Dallas Faith Family in District 13-2A action Friday.

Taylor Peebles had four kills, while Peyton Dibari had three for Eustace, which plays at Red Oak Life on Tuesday.

Beckville Outlasts Big Sandy in 20-A Opener

BIG SANDY -- Beckville secured a 25-23, 25-17, 16-25, 18-25, 15-10 victory over Big Sandy in the District 20-A opener Friday.

Ivy Rieke had 12 kills, 11 digs and three aces to lead Beckville (15-4, 1-0). Taylor Lindsay added 12 kills, one block and nine digs, Carson Blair had nine kills, 24 digs and four aces, Carley Lawhorn finished with five kills and three blocks, Cassie Elizondo chipped in with five kills and five digs and Kassidy Alexander had five kills, 31 assists and 10 digs.

Beckville plays at Timpson on Tuesday.
