Friday Volleyball Roundup: Lindale Defeats Whitehouse in Four, Bullard and Carthage Sweep + More

LINDALE -- The 11th-ranked Lindale Lady Eagles scored a 25-17, 26-24, 22-25, 26-24 over Whitehouse in District 16-4A action Friday night.

Lindale (31-3, 5-0) was led by Zhanelle Geathers, who finished with 19 kills, six blocks, six digs and two aces. Makenna Allen added seven kills and 12 digs, Rhyan Rand had nine kills and six digs, Kaitlin Rice had six kills and four digs, Travicia Acy finished with six kills and four blocks and Sydney Tiiman had 42 assists and nine digs.

Megan Harris led Whitehouse with 17 kills. Ashton Ates added seven kills and seven blocks, Keller Keller and Kaitlyn Anderson combined for 17 kills, Ronnie Fountain dishes out 33 assists and Amanda Dimon added 38 digs and three aces.

Lindale returns to action Tuesday at Jacksonville, while Whitehouse hosts Corsicana.

Bullard Sweeps Gladewater

BULLARD -- The Bullard Lady Panthers scored a 25-11, 25-10, 25-9 sweep of Gladewater on Friday in District 16-3A action.

Maddy Davis led Bullard (20-13, 4-4) with six kills and four aces. Ashley Searcy added six kills and two blocks, Mackenzie Fish had five kills, six digs and six aces, Rachel Kelley and Mallory McCoy combined for 20 assists and 10 aces and Madi Hodges had six digs.

Bullard is back in action Tuesday at Gilmer.

Carthage Notches Road Sweep of Huntington

HUNTINGTON -- Marisah Ingram had 13 kills and Tennessee commit Iesha Bryant added 11 to lead Carthage to a 25-17, 25-19, 26-24 sweep at Huntington on Friday.

Carthage's Kenzie Tate had 35 assists, while Kelsie Sharp and Morgan Wedgeworth recorded 12 digs and 11 digs, respectively.

Carthage is now 29-8 overall and in control of the District 20-3A race at 5-0.

Mount Vernon Takes Down Prairiland

MOUNT VERNON -- The Mount Vernon Lady Tigers scored a 15-25, 30-28, 25-15, 25-12 win over Pattonville Prairiland on Friday in District 15-2A action.

Mount Vernon continues its season Tuesday at Clarksville.

Beckville Sweeps Timpson

TIMPSON -- Ivy Rieke had nine kills and eight digs, while Kassidy Alexander dished out 22 assists to accompany two aces as Beckville remained undefeated in district with a 25-8, 25-14, 25-4 sweep at Timpson on Friday.

Beckville (22-4, 8-0) got six kills, two aces, and six digs from Carson Blair, while Cassie Elizondo had five kills. Taylor Lindsay had four kills and match highs in aces (7) and digs (9). Carley Lawhorn recorded four kills, three blocks, and three digs.

Beckville continues league play Tuesday when the Ladycats visit Leverett's Chapel at 5:30 p.m.

Gary Cruises Past Leverett's Chapel

LEVERETT's CHAPEL -- Collyn Pinkerton had 14 kills, three blocks, eight aces, and five digs, while Josey Greer added two kills, one block, 26 assists, and five digs to lead Gary to a 25-7, 25-4, 25-11 sweep of Leverett's Chapel on Friday.

The win pushed Gary to 20-10 overall and 6-2 in district play.

Gary's Ryley Beckham had four kills, two assists, six aces, and 10 digs, while Melody McCroskey added four aces and seven digs. Bailey Reistad had four kills, two aces, and 13 digs. Railey Daniels finished with one kill, one ace, and 12 digs and Sydney Ritter had three kills and a dig. Kendal Curry chipped in with one block and a dig.

Gary hosts Overton on Tuesday.
