WHITEHOUSE -- The Ladycats notched another District 16-5A win Friday with a 25-9, 25-12, 23-25, 25-14 victory at home.

Whitehouse (21-10, 4-0) was led by Ronnie Fountain's 31 assists and Ashton Ates' 11 kills.

Beth Hood and Kelly Keller also played significant roles in the win with a combined 17 kills. Amanda Dimon was the defensive star with 23 digs for the Ladycats.

John Tyler had its own star. Deedy Rouege had nine kills, 16 digs and two blocks in the loss.

The Lady Lions will visit Corsicana on Tuesday.

Whitehouse also hits the road and face Jacksonville on Tuesday.

 

Eustace Takes Down Frankston In Five Sets

FRANKSTON -- Abra Roberts served up eight aces and Kasey Lopez recorded 21 kills in the Lady Bulldogs' five-set marathon win against Frankston in District 18-3A, a 20-25, 25-16, 20-25, 25-9, 15-8 victory.

Taylor Peebles also finished in double-digit scoring for Eustace with 10 kills and two aces.

Grace Holcombe scored four aces for the Lady Bulldogs.

Eustace will visit Arp on Tuesday.

 

Carthage Holds Off Rusk

RUSK -- Carthage defeated Rusk in straight sets, 25-17, 25-19, 25-18, for a District 19-4A win.

UT-Arlington commitment Marisah Ingram scored on 18 kills and Kenzie Templeton had 33 assists for Carthage.

Alli Capps and Faith Landreneaux added another 17 kills in the winning effort.

Capps also had 10 digs and four aces in the match.

Carthage will host Henderson on Tuesday.

Rusk will visit Tatum on the same day.

 

Troup Breezes Past Malakoff

TROUP -- Troup defeated Malakoff 25-12, 25-13, 25-5 in District 18-3A action.

Josse Ross led the Lady Tigers with 15 kills and two aces for a total of 17 points. Caitlyn Vickers recorded a team-best 21 assists.

Paeton Nolan had nine kills and a team-best 10 digs in the match.
