BULLARD -- In one of just a few games completed Friday due to thunderstorms in the East Texas region, Bullard managed to get a full game in and then some.

The Panthers rallied to defeat Spring Hill in nine innings, 2-1.

Coco Kristi Springer pitched all nine frames for Bullard. She finished her night with 13 strikeouts and worked out of five threatening jams, including one in the ninth inning, with one run scored on a fielding error in the top fifth.

Nikki Johnson had the Panthers' 2 RBIs with base hits in the seventh and ninth innings. The second hit was a walk-off that brought in the game-winning run.

Whitehouse Takes Down Corsicana

CORSICANA -- The Whitehouse LadyCats continued their winning ways in District 16-4A with a 10-5 win over Corsicana on Friday night.

Megan Harris hit two triples and scored twice and Ronnie Fountain broke open a 7-4 game with a three-run triple as part of a three-hit performance. Autumn Crymes had three hits and an RBI.

Whitehouse (19-6, 4-1) returns to action Thursday at home against John Tyler.

Elysian Fields Leads Union Grove in Suspended Game

ELYSIAN FIELDS -- The Yellowjackets are in front of Union Grove, 5-2, after two innings.

The game was suspended due to weather and should be completed Saturday.

Jane Harris is leading Elysian Fields with 2 RBIs on a base hit. Kaycee Bailey and Bailee Fry also have RBIs for the Yellowjackets.

Elysian Fields has six hits to Union Grove's two.

The Lady Lions will try to rally in the top third once play resumes.
