MESQUITE -- Gatlin Grisso ran for 180 yards and accounted for three total touchdowns to give a 41-21 win over Canton that eliminated the Eagles from the Class 4A Division II playoffs.

Grisso scored twice on the ground and once through the air at E.H. Hanby Stadium to send Aubrey to the area round of the postseason, where it will face Jasper at a time and site to be determined.

After taking a 21-14 lead into halftime, Aubrey used touchdown runs of 3 and 47 yards by Grisso to blow the game open in the second half. This was after Grisso caught a 25-yard touchdown from Tyler Swarbick and Sheldon Wingert scored on a 68-yard run to give the Chaparrals a first-half lead.

Hunter Moore carried the Canton offense, throwing for 175 yards and two touchdowns, both to Tanner Moore from 14 and 11 yards out. Tanner Moore finished the game with seven receptions for 84 yards and the two scores.

Dylan Cox led Canton on the ground with 127 yards rushing and a touchdown, which came from 58 yards out in the first quarter to tie the game at 7-7.
