NEW CHAPEL HILL -- The Gilmer Lady Buckeyes remain in second place in District 16-4A with a 25-21, 25-19, 25-23 sweep of Chapel Hill on Saturday afternoon.

Christian Brown led the way for Gilmer with 11 kills and 14 digs. Maci Ritter added nine kills and seven blocks, Belynda Ray provided nine kills and five blocks, while the duo of Jaci Traylor and Maddie Woodard combined for 31 assists and two aces.

Gilmer also got solid contributions from Destiny Brooks (15 digs, two aces), Allie Fennell (four blocks), and Michela Devendorf (16 digs, one ace).

The Lady Buckeyes close the regular season at home Tuesday night against Bullard.
