Girls Soccer Roundup: Longview + Nacogdoches Claim Victories

LONGVIEW -- Jennifer Boudreau scored two goals and assisted on another in the Longview Lady Lobos' 4-2 win over North Mesquite on Friday in District 12-5A soccer action.

Keeley Bowles and Lauren Hall also had goals for Longview (17-6, 6-4).

Longview was led defensively by Felica Ellison and Rhejanne Durrant. Cara Bauer was in goal for the Lady Lobos.

The Lady Lobos junior varsity also defeated North Mesquite, 1-0, improving to 11-3-3 overall and 5-3-1 in district.

Longview returns to action March 19 at Rockwall.

Nacogdoches Routs Center, 7-0

NACOGDOCHES -- Six players got in on the scoring action Friday night as Nacogdoches hammered Center 7-0 at Dragon Stadium.

Jenna McCarty, Cindy Hernandez, Mandi Pearson, Lori Manchack, Victoria Hetrick, and Emily Caldwell accounted for the Lady Dragons' goals and assists. The win gave Nacogdoches a 7-1 District 35-4A record.

"Our touches and movement off the ball looked great and we were consistent with our passing and getting our bodies on ball," said Nacogdoches coach Gari Dial. "Overall I was extremely pleased with how we played."
