GLADEWATER – Eligia Carter and Christian Holmes each ran for two touchdowns, leading Gladewater to an easy 49-0 win over White Oak on Friday night.

Carter’s two touchdowns both came in the first quarter, and covered 50 and 51 yards, respectively, for Gladewater (7-1, 3-1 in District 8-3A Division I).

Holmes ran for a 2-yard score, and Tristan Holmes hit TC Minter for a 27-yard touchdown to help Gladewater open up a 27-0 halftime lead.

Gladewater scored three times in the second half on offensive touchdowns by Christian Holmes and Rashaud Johnson, and a defensive score from Robert Hodges.

The Bears play at Sabine next Friday night, while White Oak (3-6, 1-4) is on a bye.
