HALLSVILLE – The Hallsville Bobcats matched last season’s win total with a 27-7 win over Terrell in both teams’ season opener Friday night at Bobcat Stadium.

Bobcats (1-0) quarterback Semaj Boyd led the way, rushing for 125 yards and a touchdown, while passing for another TD.

Tristan Driggers added 83 yards on the ground, and booted through a couple of field goals.

Hallsville’s defense also forced four Terrell turnovers, including three in the first half.

The season continues next Friday for Hallsville, which travels to Kilgore.
