Hallsville (24-1) held steady in the No. 2 spot in the latest Texas Girls Coaches Association's State Volleyball Poll and owns the highest spot of any of the seven East Texas teams listed.

The weekly poll, released Monday and listing the top 20 teams by classification, features Spring Hill (20-15) in its Class 4A poll at the No. 13 position.

The region is most potent at the Class 3A level. White Oak (17-6) checked in at No. 14, Queen City (19-7) at No. 16 and Troup rounded out the ground as the No. 17 school in the state.

Beckville (22-4) has played very well through the midway point of the regular season and was rewarded with the No. 13 spot in the Class 2A poll. Gary, a six-man football school, is No. 11 state-wide with an 18-7 record.
