LONGVIEW -- Facing a 3-1 first-half deficit, Hallsville needed a huge comeback to advance in the Class 4A Region II soccer playoffs. That's just what the Ladycats got.

Hallsville scored six times more times to run away with a 7-4 bi-district victory against Lindale on Monday at Lobo Stadium in Longview.

Lacee Blakeley led the Ladycats with a hat trick and one assist. Her three goals were followed by Cassie Perry's two goals and one assist. McKenzie Dudley had one goal and one assist, while Nat Lomax scored one goal. Elisha Leathers dished out one assist.

Hallsville, which went 9-3 in District 32-4A and placed second behind league champion Pine Tree, has gotten a huge season from Blakeley, who has 26 goals and 20 assists. Blakeley had 15 goals and nine assists in the Ladycats' 12 district matches.

Hallsville plays District 29-4A champion Texas High in an area playoff match later this week.
