HALLSVILLE -- After suffering their first loss of the season Friday night, the Hallsville Bobcats returned to their winning ways in a big way Saturday on the final day of the Reich Builders Classic.

Hallsville scored twice in the bottom of the seventh to defeat Kilgore, 5-4, before using an 11-run first inning to take down Henderson, 15-2, in five innings.

Logan Bailey launched a grand slam in the first inning, which gave Hallsville (13-1) a 5-0 lead over Henderson (8-6-1). The Bobcats added six more runs in the inning, which featured 16 batters.

Henderson starter Tristan Lary walked the first two batters and hit the next two to give Hallsville its first run of the inning, and Bailey followed with a blast over the right-field fence. Austin Blakeley, Jacob Walker, Ronnie Gideon and Andy Guinea also had RBIs in the inning.

Blakeley was the beneficiary of all the run support. He allowed two runs on five hits with six strikeouts to earn the win.

Henderson got on the board with both of its runs coming in the third on Jeffery Holt's two-run single to right-center.

Blakeley was hit by a pitch the bases loaded in the bottom of the third to give Hallsville a 12-2 lead. The Bobcats tacked on three more in the fourth. Lance Lassen crossed home on a passed ball, Logan Glezen knocked in a run with a single and David Wise brought home the game's final run with a sacrifice fly.

Henderson pitching struggled all afternoon, hitting eight batters and walking six.

Hallsville returns to action Thursday at home against Jacksonville, while Henderson travels to Carthage on Tuesday.
