Hallsville’s Ronnie Gideon A First-Team Selection on TSWA Class 4A All-State Baseball Team

BRYAN -- Hallsville senior shortstop and Texas A&M signee Ronnie Gideon was East Texas' only first-teamer on the Collin Street Bakery/Texas Sports Writer's Associations's Class 4A all-state baseball team, which was released on Thursday.

Whitehouse junior pitcher Ryan Cheatham was a second-team selection, while Whitehouse senior outfielder Aaron Clemons made the third team.

Six East Texans received honorable-mention recognition -- Whitehouse junior pitcher and shortstop Patrick Mahomes, Hallsville junior pitcher and outfielder Connor Reich, Lindale junior pitcher Sam Sitton, Pine Tree senior catcher Spencer Anderson, Whitehouse senior catcher Derek Clemons and Whitehouse senior outfielder Jared Raabe.
