Hawaii Offers Daingerfield’s Tyrese Grant
The second Division I FBS scholarship offer arrived Monday for Daingerfield 2020 wide receiver Tyrese Grant.
The Tigers' playmaker reported via Twitter that Hawaii has offered.
Grant (6-0, 160) also holds an FBS offer from Colorado State along with FCS opportunities from Alcorn State, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Coastal Carolina, Lamar, Liberty, and McNeese State. He also has a Division II offer from Tarleton State.
Last season, Grant played both receiver and defensive back. He caught seven passes for 304 yards and four touchdowns, and made 24 tackles with two interceptions on defense.
Daingerfield finished 2017 with a record of 7-5, falling to eventual state finalist Gunter in the area round of the 3A Division II playoffs.
Hawaii is a member of the Mountain West Conference. The Rainbow Warriors are coached by Nick Rolovich and went 3-9 (1-7 in conference) last season.
Grant, like all incoming juniors, is first eligible to sign with any program that offers him in December of 2019.
