Henderson Earns 60-54 First-Round Win Playoff Win Over Huntington

TENAHA -- The Henderson Lady Lions earned a 60-54 win over Huntington in their Class 4A bi-district playoff Tuesday night.

Madeline Morris led Henderson (19-9) with 18 points, which included four 3-pointers. Nakia McElhanon added a double-double with 14 points and 18 rebounds, Ja'Keyah Stewart provided 13 points, four assists, and three steals, while Joy Williams chipped in with seven points and eight boards.

Huntington was led in defeat by Whitney Flournoy, who netted a game-high 20 points. McKenzie Summer added 13 points, while Raegyin Parrish finished with 11 points in the losing effort.

Henderson will face Madisonville at 6:30 p.m. Friday from Rusk in the area round of the postseason.
