HENDERSON — The Henderson Lions kept moving in the right direction with a 38-7 win over Palestine, Friday night in the District 10-4A Division II opener.

The Henderson (4-2, 1-0) defense forced Palestine (2-4, 0-1) into five punts and three turnovers.

Quinton Cook scored Palestine's only touchdown with a fumble recovery early in the fourth quarter.

Both teams return to district action next Friday night. Henderson goes on the road against Kilgore (2-4, 1-0), while Palestine looks to get back on the right track at home against Van (4-2, 0-1).
