HENDERSON -- The Henderson Lions cruised to a 49-7 win over Daingerfield in both teams' non-district finale Friday night at Lion Stadium.

The rushing duo of La'Kendrick Vanzandt and Randy Davis carried the day for Henderson (4-1). Vanzandt ran for 127 yards and a three touchdowns on 11 carries, while Davis rushed 13 times for 107 yards and two scores.

Quarterback Zane Boles was an efficient 4 of 6 passing for 100 yards.

Dalton Goode and Kyndall Johnson each finished with 11 tackles to lead the defensive effort. Seth Hensley and B.K. Kelly both had fumble recoveries, while Tresean Ebner pulled down an interception.

Both teams are off next week. Henderson opens District 9-4A Division I play on Oct. 10 at Carthage, while Daingerfield (0-5) begins 7-3A D-I action the same night at home against Winnsboro.
