Hughes Springs Pitches Shutout Against Mineola, 27-0

HALLSVILLE-- Hughes Springs used its defense to advance to the area round of the playoffs on Friday.

The Mustangs defeated Mineola, 27-0.

Tradarian Carter rushed for 151 yards and a touchdown to lead the way in the victory. Bruce Johnston added 89 yards and Hughes Springs rushed for 343 total.

The Mustangs (9-2) will face either Grandview or Pilot Point next week in the area playoffs.
