One of three East Texans in the 2014 class selected for January's U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio received his jersey at a Wednesday ceremony.

Jasper's Terrell Cuney was honored by the bowl game's tour Wednesday at Jasper High School.

Cuney is committed to Texas and also holds offers from TCU and Texas Tech.

The 6-foot-3, 260-pounder leads the 6-3 Bulldogs into Friday night's Class 3A Division I Region III bi-district playoff against Palestine at 7:30 p.m. in Nacogdoches at SFA's Homer Bryce Stadium.

Cuney joins Mount Pleasant receiver K.D. Cannon (committed to Baylor) and Gilmer linebacker Josh Walker (committed to Texas A&M) as East Texas' three U.S. Army All-American Bowl participants. The game is Jan. 4 at San Antonio's Alamodome and will be broadcast nationally on NBC.

The trio gives East Texas 20 participants in the all-star game since 2001.
