NEW LONDON -- Jaylon Garland ran for three touchdowns in the first half and West Rusk notched its second consecutive shutout with a 63-0 win over Harleton, on Friday in District 9-3A Division II play.

Garland scored on runs of 37, 12 and 34 yards in the first 20 minutes of the game as West Rusk (5-0, 2-0) stayed unbeaten on the season.

Raiders quarterback L.J. Harper threw for 144 yards on 7 of 9 passing, with four of those completions going to Dylan Walker for 102 yards, including a 60-yard touchdown.

Gage Whitlock and Matthew Davidson each scored on 2-yard touchdown runs in the third quarter for West Rusk. Defensively, Darious Richardson and Taylor Winings each returned interceptions for touchdowns.

Harleton dropped to 1-6 on the season and 1-2 in district with the loss.
