GLADEWATER -- Despite being dominated in time of possession, the Jefferson Bulldogs were able to secure a 43-36 win over Winnsboro in their Class 3A Division I, Region II bi-district playoff at Jack V. Murphy Bear Stadium.

Jefferson (9-2), the No. 1 seed from District 8-3A, needed a fourth-down stop late in the fourth quarter to hold off the Red Raiders (6-5).

The Bulldogs will meet the winner of Friday's bi-district game between Howe and Grandview next week in the area round of the playoffs.

Jefferson ran just 31 plays from scrimmage and was outgained by more than 100 yards on the night.

Damian Hines led the Bulldogs attack by rushing for three touchdowns, while quarterback Trey Hodge passed for two scores and ran for another.

Marcus Tucker carried Winnsboro offensively with 228 rushing yards and four touchdowns.
