BROWNSBORO -- The John Tyler Lady Lions captured their second consecutive Great East Texas Shootout championship with a 52-42 win over Bullard on Saturday night.

Alyssa Mayfield and Destini Whitehead paced John Tyler with 14 points apiece in the win. Kaleaon Grant added 10 points.

Bullard, meanwhile, got a game-high 25 points from Lexi Kirgan in defeat. Hannah Lloyd chipped in with eight points.

Alba-Golden edged Brownsboro, 58-56, to captured third place. Martin's Mill rolled to a 64-39 win over Canton in the fifth-place game, while Fairfield defeated Marshall, 36-17, for seventh place.
