With a little more than two weeks until National Signing Day, another option has been presented to John Tyler senior lineman Braylon Jones.

TCU became the first school from a Power 5 conference to offer Jones (6-3, 275), the John Tyler football program's official Twitter account announced late Monday afternoon.

Jones has been committed to Houston since July of 2015.

The Lions senior standout played exclusively on the defensive side of the ball his sophomore and junior seasons as a tackle, but played on offense as well as a senior, lining up at guard.

Despite being new to the position, Jones graded out at 88 percent for the season, helping John Tyler's offense average 38.8 points and 414.9 yards per game. Defensively, Jones recorded 70 tackles and 17 quarterback pressures, and forced two fumbles.

JT went unbeaten in District 16-5A and finished 8-4 overall in 2015, advancing to the area round of the Class 5A Division I playoffs where it was eliminated by eventual state finalist Mansfield Lake Ridge.

TCU is coming off an 11-2 finish last season, the Horned Frogs' 10th year with at least 10 wins under coach Gary Patterson, who's led the program since 2001. TCU capped off 2015 with a come-from-behind 47-41 triple-overtime win over Oregon in the Alamo Bowl.

The Frogs currently have two East Texans on its roster -- linebacker Travin Howard (Longview) and defensive back Jeff Gladney (New Boston).
