Stephens connected on four 3-point attempts.

Tenaha (11-8), ranked No. 6 in Class 2A by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches earlier in the day, was led by 27 points from Ja'Qualin Franks. Colton Goeke got up there with 22 points of his own and Trai Gardner recorded 10.

Tenaha will begin District 22-2A competition Friday at home against Shelbyville. Waskom simultaneously begins its District 17-3A schedule by hosting New Diana.
