TATUM -- Kelton Collier ran for 154 yards and four touchdowns on only 11 carries in seventh-ranked Gilmer's 50-28 win over Diboll, Thursday night in a Class 4A Division II, Region II bi-district playoff at Eagle Stadium.

Gilmer (10-1) advanced to the area round of the playoffs, and will meet Melissa (8-3) next week. Diboll finished its season at 2-9.

Buckeyes quarterback Aaron "Poppy" Brown passed for 235 yards with two touchdowns and an interception on 21-of-30 completions. He connected with 11 different receivers on the night.

LaMarcus Morton, an Oklahoma State commit, led Gilmer pass-catchers with six receptions for 61 yards and a touchdown.

Seven different Gilmer players had rushing attempts as the Buckeyes rolled up 272 yards on the ground. Kameryn Cuevas and Rashaad Ward added touchdowns for Gilmer.

Desmond Shelby sparked Diboll in the losing effort with 112 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries.
