NEW CHAPEL HILL -- Khalan Griffin accounted for 256 yards of offense and three total touchdowns to help Chapel Hill take down Gladewater, 24-7, on Friday night.

Griffin threw for 119 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 137 and another score to send Chapel Hill to a 3-1 start to the season, already surpassing last year's win total.

Griffin connected with Cooper Daniels and Demarcus Attaway for touchdown passes. The score to Daniels gave the Bulldogs a 7-0 lead, while the pass to Attaway ended Chapel Hill's scoring. He also scored on a 19-yard run in the fourth quarter to put Chapel Hill up 17-7.

Danny Badger ran for 37 yards and Gladewater's only touchdown. Keston Wilson ran for 36 yards and Rashaud Johnson added 34 yards for the Bears, who dropped to 1-3 on the season.

Chapel Hill entertains Highway 64 rival Henderson at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29, to open District 9-4A Division I play, while Gladewater plays at home against Lindale.
