District champion Kilgore nabbed two superlatives on the 16-3A all-district girls basketball team, which was voted on by the league's coaches.

Lady Bulldogs senior Tony Burks, who will be attending Houston on a track scholarship, was voted the district's Most Valuable Player. Kilgore freshman Mar'Shalia Lollie took home Newcomer of the Year honors.

Other superlatives went to Bullard senior Bridgette Taylor (Offensive Player of the Year) and Spring Hill junior Mikai Brown (Defensive Player of the Year).
