DIANA -- Andy Prazak's 30-yard field goal with one second remaining sent the New Diana Eagles to a thrilling 24-21 win over Daingerfield at Eagle Stadium on Friday night.

Jackson Sampson tossed three touchdown passes to lead New Diana (6-3, 4-1 in District 7-3A Division II). His 64-yard scoring strike to Cody Payton tied the game at 21-21 with a little more than seven minutes remaining.

New Diana went into halftime tied 7-7 after Sampson's 22-yard touchdown pass to TJ Rogers. Sampson and Payton connected for a 95-yard score for a 14-7 New Diana lead in the third quarter.

Touchdown runs by Jakauri Woods and Zaylon Jeter regained the lead for Daingerfield, 21-14.

Both teams wrap up the regular season next Friday night. New Diana travels to Paul Pewitt, while Daingerfield (5-4, 4-1) takes on Ore City on the road.
