Once again, there wasn't much movement among East Texas schools in the latest Associated Press high school football rankings, which were released Monday.

The only change occurred in Class A where West Sabine (8-0) moved up one spot to No. 6 after the Tigers' 62-0 rout of Cushing last Friday. Tenaha (7-1), 42-0 winners over Evadale, remained at No. 3.

In Class 4A, Whitehouse (9-0) held steady at No. 3 following its 45-14 defeat of Corsicana last week.

Gilmer (9-0) is once again the top-ranked team in 3A after the Buckeyes rolled to a 62-0 rout of Bullard last Friday. Kilgore (8-0) stayed at No. 3 after its 63-10 victory over Henderson, and Carthage (9-1) is still No. 7 after the Bulldogs completed a perfect run through District 20-3A with a 49-6 defeat of Diboll.

In 2A, Newton held onto the No. 2 position after the Eagles' 63-3 rout of Hardin. Tatum (9-0), which rolled to a 45-19 win at Jefferson last week, remained at No. 4. Hughes Springs is still ranked 10th following the Mustangs' 54-0 shutout of DeKalb.

Garrison, Corrigan-Camden, Daingerfield, Waskom and New Boston all received votes.

District 12-5A champion Longview (8-1) received five votes in the 5A poll after the Lobos' dominant 63-7 win over Tyler Lee last Thursday night.
