Tevailance Hunt committed to the Jayhawks program Saturday in favor of nine other FBS offers and is now expected to join former Texas High teammate and fellow receiver Quan Hampton on the collegiate level. Hunt, a junior, announced his verbal commitment through Twitter.

Xavier Benson's strong week in the recruiting sphere got that much better Saturday thanks to a positive conversation with coaches from Louisiana-Monroe.

The Warhawks closed dialogue by presenting the junior Pleasant Grove linebacker his eighth college football scholarship opportunity in total and his fifth from the FBS level. Benson then directly alerted ETSN.fm.

CARTHAGE -- The Bulldogs' team win Thursday at the District 16-4A track meet featured one of the best high school football players in America in Keaontay Ingram and a bevy of other potential college prospects, but the victory also proved athletes come in all shapes and sizes.

Long distance runner Brayden Sowell was the real hero. His second-place finish in the 1600 meter run, the second-to-last event, ultimately pushed Carthage to a five-point win over Tatum for the league championship.

Carthage running back Keaontay Ingram received new offers Wednesday from USC and Houston.

Keaontay Ingram is sneaking back toward the East Texas lead in NCAA Division I FBS scholarships thanks to new offers Wednesday from USC and Houston.

The Trojans and Cougars' invitations, which Ingram announced through his personal Twitter account, pushed the junior Carthage running back to 26 choices at the highest level of college football. He trails Arp safety and fellow junior DeMarvion Overshown by one option among FBS schools.
