LONGVIEW -- Logan Wesley ran for 119 yards and four touchdowns to lead Pleasant Grove to a 31-13 win over Wills Point in a Class 4A Division II area round matchup on Friday night at Pirate Stadium.

Wesley ran for two touchdowns in the first half and two more in the second half to send Pleasant Grove (5-6) into the regional round against Celina. The two square off at 2 p.m. Friday at Mesquite Memorial Stadium. Celina beat Gladewater 44-41 on Friday night.

Pleasant Grove's defense held Gladewater to just eight first downs and 208 total yards in the game, with Tigers running back Brandon Smith accounting for 78 of those yards on the ground on 12 carries.

Keshawn Jones ran for 102 yards on 13 carries to complement Wesley in the Hawks' running game, which totaled 306 yards on the night on 56 attempts.

Wesley's second touchdown, followed by a 36-yard Matt Day field goal, gave Pleasant Grove a 17-7 lead at halftime. Wesley scored the game's next two touchdowns to put the Hawks up 31-7 with seven minutes left in the game before Smith scored a touchdown to make the final score.

Tyler James completed all four of his pass attempts for Pleasant Grove, highlighted by a 25-yard touchdown pass to Nathan Jones to tie the game at 7-7 early in the second quarter.
