GREENVILLE -- Michael Ross threw for three touchdowns and the Lobo ground game put the finishing touches on it as Longview romped to a 51-0 win over Greenville on Friday night.

The win pushed Longview to 4-1 on the season overall and 2-0 in District 15-5A action.

Ross finished with 191 passing yards on the night with touchdown strikes of 56, 58 and21 yards. The senior quarterback finished 8-for-17.

His main target was Jordan Wyatt, who hauled in three passes for 135 yards, including scores of 56 and 58 yards in the first quarter as Longview built a commanding 17-0 lead through the first 12 minutes.

Chris Braggs hauled in four passes for 61 yards, including a 21-yard score.

Longview totaled 484 yards while holding Greenville (1-4, 0-2) to 173 total yards.

D’Crayvan Polk paced the Lobo run game with 135 yards on 15 carries while Braylynn Anthony finished with two touches for 95 yards with both runs ending in pay dirt. Fullback Trajan Bush had five carries for 25 yards, including a four-yard score.

District 15-5A rushing leader Crandall Hale was the lone offensive standout for the Lions. He finished with 126 yards on 23 carries for Greenville.

Ross hit Wyatt on back-to-back snaps in the first quarter on scoring plays of 56 and 58 yards, respectively.

Cody Jenkins capped a 17-point first quarter for the Lobos with a 32-yard field goal.

Ross rounded out his three-score night with a 21-yard score to Braggs at the 4:15 mark in the first quarter. Anthony’s first touch of the night went for 10 yards at the 2:09 mark, pushing Longview’s lead to 24-0 entering the break.

Jon Sorey scooped up a Lobo fumble and took it four yards early in the third quarter, making it a 38-0 affair. Bush’s four-yard run made it 45-0 Longview inside the final minute of the third quarter.

Anthony capped the rout with an 85-yard run in the fourth quarter for Longview.

The Lobos will visit undefeated Marshall next week.
