The second college football scholarship opportunity is in for Traveion Webster.

Central Arkansas offered the rising senior safety Thursday evening, becoming the second university to do so. Webster reported the news through his personal Twitter account.

Louisiana-Monroe, an FBS program, is the other school currently in contention for the safety's services.

Webster (6-1, 197) finished a 14-game junior campaign with 88 tackles, one interception, four passes broken up and a forced fumble in a run to the Class 5A Division I, Region II championship game.

Longview tied for a share of the District 15-5A crown alongside Marshall and Texas High in the process and closed the 2015 season with an 11-3 record overall.

Webster, who played fullback as a sophomore, will face Class 6A competition this fall. Longview was placed in Class 6A during the University Interscholastic League's biennial realignment process in February due to a growing student population.

Longview's District 11-6A games will come against John Tyler, Mesquite, Mesquite Horn, North Mesquite, Rockwall, Rockwall-Heath and Tyler Lee.

Central Arkansas went 7-4 overall last season and tied for second place in the Southland Conference. It failed to gain an at-large FCS playoff bid following a loss to Sam Houston State in its final game.

Sam Houston State advanced to the playoffs along with McNeese State, the Southland champion.

Central Arkansas most recently reached the postseason in 2012. The squad has been to two FCS tournaments in total, a nice start for a program that only started competing at the level in 2007.

Head coach Steve Campbell will be back for a third season in Conway, Ark. He has a 13-10 record at the school.

Webster, like all high school football prospects currently in their junior year, will become eligible to sign with any program that offers him on Feb. 1, 2017.
