MOUNT PLEASANT -- Longview snapped a two-game losing skid Monday with a 6-0 win at Mount Pleasant in District 15-5A action.

Luke Taylor took the complete game, shutout win on the mound. He allowed two hits and two walks while throwing seven strikeouts.

Longview (6-12, 4-8) helped Taylor with four runs in the top of the first. It added an insurance run in the second and scored its final run in the fourth inning.

Dezmond Chumley batted 3-for-4 and recorded a team-best two RBIs. Tylan Miller and Will Bradshaw also had multi-hit nights with two apiece.

Zak Chapa recorded Mount Pleasant's two hits in the game.

Mount Pleasant (2-18, 1-11) is playing a spoiler role in the final week of the regular season. It will visit Marshall today at 7 p.m. and closes its season at home Friday against Texas High.

Longview hosts Sulphur Springs today at 7 p.m.
