The Longview Lobos are off their first 4-0 start to a season since 2005, and junior quarterback Haynes King has been the catalyst.

King had his best performance to date last Friday night in the Lobos' 56-28 road win at Ruston, La. He completed 16 of 19 passes for 359 yards and five touchdowns, and also added a 20-yard scoring reception.

For his efforts, King is the ETSN.fm/Dairy Queen Offensive Player of the Week. He follows last week's winner, Alto running back Vi'Dareous High.

Three of King's scoring tosses last week went to senior receiver Kamden Perry, who finished with eight catches for 185 yards.

On the season, King has passed for 1,046 yards with 11 touchdowns and no interceptions. He's also run for 165 and two TD's.

King and the Lobos open District 11-6A play Friday night at Rockwall (2-1).
