Louisiana Tech Offers Pine Tree Quarterback Caleb Chumley

Apparently Louisiana Tech made its rounds in East Texas on Friday. Pine Tree 2014 quarterback Caleb Chumley benefited.

The 6-foot-5, 220-pounder got an offer from Louisiana Tech, he announced on Twitter.

The Bulldogs also offered Carthage 2014 receiver Tee Goree on Friday, per Carthage coach Scott Surratt.

Louisiana Tech is the sixth FBS program to offer Chumley, who also has offers from Houston, Memphis, North Texas, Oregon State, and Texas State. Chumley has received interest from a slew of other schools, including Oregon.

Chumley's limited action at quarterback in 2012 statistically looks like a full season. In three games, he threw for 1,135 yards, ran for 462 yards, and accounted for 17 total touchdowns.

He's been recruited at quarterback, tight end, and athlete, though more time at quarterback this fall should garner him even more exposure as a dual-threat signal caller.
