Louisiana Tech + South Alabama First Two Offers For Nacogdoches’ Jaylon Lane

The first two offers are in for Nacogdoches 2015 cornerback Jaylon Lane, who received offers from Louisiana Tech and South Alabama over the course of 24 hours Monday and Tuesday.

Lane (6-2, 175), who recently transferred from San Angelo Central, is the 15th East Texas recruit in the 2015 class with at least one Division I FBS offer.

As a junior in San Angelo, Lane made 46 tackles and had four interceptions on defense. He was also a force in the return game, averaging more than 45 yards on five kickoff returns, including a 108-yarder for a touchdown.

Lane will team with 2016 safety Brandon Jones to give Nacogdoches one of the top secondaries in all of East Texas this fall. Jones already has five FBS offers -- Baylor, Florida State, Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Texas Tech.

Louisiana Tech currently has three offers out to 2015 prospects in the region -- Lane, Whitehouse defensive back Nate Brooks and Tyler Lee linebacker Brandon Durman. Lane is the first East Texan with an offer from South Alabama.
