The Malakoff Tigers have won 17 of their last 18 games, but that's not to say there haven't been any close calls along the way.

With their 15-game regular-season winning streak on the line, Malakoff found itself involved in a shootout with Tyler Grace last Friday night, and needed a big-time performance from its star quarterback.

Senior Judd Miller delivered by accounting for six touchdowns and posting 322 total yards of offense in the Tigers' thrilling 49-47 win. For his efforts, Miller is the ETSN.fm/Dairy Queen Offensive Player of the Week.

He follows last week's winner, Texas High quarterback Coltin Clack.

Malakoff, ranked No. 6 in the latest Associated Press Class 3A poll, improved to 3-0 thanks to Miller, who passed for 179 yards and three TD's on 16-of-20 completions and ran 18 times for 143 yards and three more scores.

Miller's 6-yard touchdown run -- his final score of the night -- put Malakoff on top 49-41 with a little more than three minutes remaining. Grace went down the field quickly and scored, but failed on the potential game-tying two-point conversion attempt.

Malakoff opens District 9-3A Division I play this Friday night at Whitney (3-0).
