Mansfield Summit Ends Whitehouse’s Season With Sweep

WILLS POINT -- Mansfield Summit ousted the Whitehouse LadyCats from the volleyball playoffs with a 25-17, 25-20, 26-24 sweep in their Class 5A Region II area-round match on Thursday night.

Whitehouse (29-12) was led in defeat by Megan Harris, who finished the night with 14 kills. Ashton Ates and Kelly Keller added eight kills apiece, and Beth Hood chipped in with seven kills.

Ronnie Fountain dished out 32 assists and added 18 digs, while Amanda Dimon registered 17 digs.
