Marshall’s Savion Williams Offered By SMU
One of East Texas' top recruits in the 2020 class added a new Division I FBS scholarship offer on Saturday.
Marshall junior receiver Savion Williams reported via Twitter that SMU has offered.
Williams (6-5, 190) also holds offers from Arkansas, Bowling Green, Indiana, Missouri, North Texas, Southern Miss, Texas State, and Texas Tech.
This past season, Williams caught 42 passes for 659 yards and 12 touchdowns. Marshall finished 10-3 and reached the regional semifinals in the Class 5A Division II playoffs.
SMU just finished its first season under head coach Sonny Dykes. The Mustangs were 5-7 overall and 4-5 in American Athletic Conference play.
Williams, like all juniors, is first eligible to sign with any program that offers him in December of 2019.
