Mineola and Van split their two regular-season softball matchups and met one more time in the Class 3A Region II championship series. So it comes as no surprise, the two rivals racked up the superlatives on the 15-3A all-district softball team.

Van sophomore Sierra Nichols was voted overall MVP of the district, while Mineola's Morgan Catron and Van's Jasmin Gipson won Offensive and Defensive MVP honors, respectively.

Mineola's Rikkilyn Hass and Van's Autumn McKinney shared the Pitcher of the Year award, while Van's Craig Ham was voted Coach of the Year.

Other superlatives went to Mabank's Hazel Puempel (Newcomer of the Year) and Canton's Amanda Riley (Catcher of the Year).
